Our goal with Pro Presets is to help you bring your creative vision to life with more precision and control. With that in mind, we’re excited to launch three new black and white Pro Presets, allowing you to fine tune your black and white images on VSCO like never before.
Play with shadow detail and contrast with B1 PRO, add drama to portraits with B5 PRO, or achieve a classic black and white feel with 01 PRO. All Pro Presets have additional controls for color, contrast, and tone — allowing you to adjust each component to reveal new, custom looks.
You can find Pro Presets in the Pro tab of your VSCO Studio. Try Pro Membership now for access.
B1 PRO - Timeless Charm
B1 PRO provides subtle black and white refinement with excellent shadow detail and contrast. With a unique approach to black and white conversion and moderate tonality, this classic preset accommodates a wide range of images.
B5 PRO - Pensive and Bold
B5 PRO supplies black and white images with a pensive, dark presence, adding gravity and depth to portraits. With a unique approach to black and white conversion and bold tonality, this high-contrast preset enhances dramatic detail in various textures and environments.
01 PRO - An Updated Icon
01 is one of the VSCO Cam presets that started it all — and 01 PRO takes this original preset to the next level. With a simple black and white conversion approach and a moderate amount of contrast and fading, 01 PRO is an all-purpose look for a wide range of subjects.
How Pro Presets work
Each of our Pro Presets includes additional controls for the components that create the look and feel of an image. At default settings, each control recreates the look of the classic preset — but with the Pro version, elements can then be increased or decreased via sliders to create an entirely new look that’s custom to you.
Our B1 PRO, B5 PRO, and 01 PRO black and white Pro Presets include additional controls for each of these elements:
• Contrast: Adjusts the moderate changes to contrast.
• Color: Simulates a color filter over the lens — blue to the left and red to the right.
• Tone: Adjusts the fade to the shadows and highlights.
Just a note — the additional range of controls can create visual artifacts on some images, so please use with care.
