Greetings from the Diáspora (Issue I)
Greetings from the Diáspora is a photo zine based on a past trip to Jamaica in the mountains where my family is from. In the title, the Spanish and Portuguese form of the word ‘diaspora’ is used to highlight the black diaspora in the Caribbean and Latin America, where Brazil is said to have the most afro-descendents outside of Africa in the world.

Blossoming (Greetings from the Diáspora, Issue 2)
Blossoming (Greetings from the Diáspora) is the second part of a photo zine series based on past trips to Jamaica where my family is from. In the title, the Spanish and Portuguese form of the word “diaspora” is used to highlight the black diaspora in the Caribbean and Latin America, where Brazil is said to have the most afro-descendents outside of Africa in the world. The second part of the series takes place near the coast where my dad’s side of the family is from.
